With Panasonic BS1H, you can record your videos at a highest resolution of 5952 x 3968 at 30p fps and save in RAW, MPEG-4 and H.264/H.265/HEVC formats. This means that Panasonic BS1H provides an impressive 6K video, only second to 8K cameras in high resolution. Although it is not a very widely used format, it gives the user enough extra room over 4K to do cropping or high quality sampling in post-process.
A great advantage of Panasonic BS1H while shooting video at resolution of 4K is that there is no crop factor so you can use your lens at its actual focal length.
No Video Recording Limit
Panasonic Lumix BS1H doesn't have the 30 minutes max video recording limitation that many cameras have, so you can keep recording non-stop until either your storage is full or battery is depleted or the camera over-heats.
Dual Native ISO
Panasonic Lumix BS1H sensor has a dedicated Dual Native ISO that are set to ISO 640 and 4000. Setting the BS1H ISO to one of these values during video recording will result in less noise compared to the ISO values between these two.
High-Speed Video
BS1H features a high speed mode where it captures videos at 120fps which helps to create slow motion videos. If you shoot a video at a frame rate of 120fps and play it back at 24fps, the video will be 5x slower and longer than normal.
Microphones, Speaker and Headphone Connections
Panasonic Lumix BS1H has a built-in Stereo microphone but no speaker. Panasonic BS1H also has a port for an
external microphone and a
headphone port for connecting external headphones which makes the Panasonic BS1H a very suitable camera high quality videography.
