Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day. Fujifilm S1 Pro is 30g lighter than the Fujifilm S2 Pro but we don't think this will make a significant difference.

Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you have to also take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Fujifilm S2 Pro and Fujifilm S1 Pro have the same Nikon F lens mount and APS-C sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.

With its weather sealed body, we believe that S2 Pro has a big advantage over S1 Pro which doesn't provide any kind of environmental sealing.

Fujifilm S2 Pro and Fujifilm S1 Pro have the same sensor sizes so they will provide same level of control over the depth of field when used with same focal length and aperture. On the other hand, since Fujifilm S1 Pro has 97% larger pixel area (58.16µm2 vs 29.41µm2) compared to Fujifilm S2 Pro, it has larger pixel area to collect light hence potential to have less noise in low light / High ISO images.
