Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day. Olympus E-PL9 is 46g lighter than the Canon R10 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.

Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you have to also take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since Canon R10 has an APS-C sized sensor and Olympus E-PL9 has a smaller Four Thirds sensor, Olympus E-PL9's lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will generally be lighter and smaller than the Canon R10 lenses.

Canon R10's sensor provides 8MP more than Olympus E-PL9's sensor, which gives a significant advantage in real life. You can print your images larger or crop more freely. On the other hand, please keep in mind that Max sensor resolution is not the only determinant of resolving power. Factors such as the optical elements, low pass filter, pixel size and sensor technology also affects the final resolution of the captured image.
