Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Leica X2 and Canon M10 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Leica X2 has external dimensions of 124 x 69 x 52 mm (4.88 x 2.72 x 2.05″) and weighs 345 g (0.76 lb / 12.17 oz) (including batteries). Canon M10 has external dimensions of 108 x 67 x 35 mm (4.25 x 2.64 x 1.38″) and weighs 301 g (0.66 lb / 10.62 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Leica X2 and the Canon M10. Canon M10 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 16mm narrower, 2mm shorter and 17mm thinner than Leica X2. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Leica X2 has a built-in lens but Canon M10 doesn't. Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Canon M10 is 44g lighter than the Leica X2 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on M10, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Leica X2 nor Canon EOS M10 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Canon M10's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Leica X2's 2.7 screen.
In addition to the size advantage, Canon M10 LCD screen also has a
Tilting feature where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels. On the other hand, Leica X2 has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to M10.
