Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Fujifilm X100F and Fujifilm X-T2 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Fujifilm X100F has external dimensions of 127 x 75 x 52 mm (5 x 2.95 x 2.05″) and weighs 469 g (1.03 lb / 16.54 oz) (including batteries). Fujifilm X-T2 has external dimensions of 133 x 92 x 49 mm (5.24 x 3.62 x 1.9″) and weighs 507 g (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Fujifilm X100F and the Fujifilm X-T2. Fujifilm X100F is 6mm narrower and 17mm shorter than Fujifilm X-T2 but it is also 3mm thicker. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Fujifilm X100F has a built-in lens but Fujifilm X-T2 doesn't. Once you put a lens on X-T2, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Fujifilm X100F and Fujifilm X-T2.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Fujifilm X100F and Fujifilm X-T2.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Fujifilm X100F is 38g lighter than the Fujifilm X-T2 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on X-T2, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Thanks to the weather-sealed body of the X-T2, you can use this camera with more confidence under conditions where there is risk of exposure to water and dust compared to the X100F.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Fujifilm X-T2's 3.20" LCD screen is slightly larger than Fujifilm X100F's 3 screen.
In addition to the size advantage, Fujifilm X-T2 LCD screen also has a
Tilting feature where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels. On the other hand, Fujifilm X100F has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to X-T2.
