Both Ricoh GR Digital IV and Nikon D40X have 10.0 MP resolution sensors but Ricoh GR Digital IV's sensor is 1/1.7-inch (7.44 x 5.58 mm ) and Nikon D40X's sensor is APS-C (23.7 x 15.6 mm ).
