Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Olympus E-PL1s and Panasonic G2 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Olympus E-PL1s has external dimensions of 115 x 72 x 42 mm (4.53 x 2.83 x 1.65″) and weighs 334 g (0.74 lb / 11.78 oz) (including batteries). Panasonic G2 has external dimensions of 124 x 84 x 74 mm (4.88 x 3.31 x 2.91″) and weighs 428 g (0.94 lb / 15.10 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Olympus E-PL1s and the Panasonic G2. Olympus E-PL1s is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 9mm narrower, 12mm shorter and 32mm thinner than Panasonic G2.

Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Olympus E-PL1s is significantly lighter (94g ) than the Panasonic G2 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Olympus E-PL1s and Panasonic G2 have the same Micro Four Thirds lens mount and Four Thirds sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Olympus PEN E-PL1s nor Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Panasonic G2's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Olympus E-PL1s's 2.7 screen.
Moreover, Panasonic G2 sports a
Fully Articulated screen which you can change the angle and position of the screen almost freely, making it possible to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels, and especially very useful for shooting selfies and video. On the other hand, Olympus E-PL1s has a fixed type screen which provides almost no flexibility in shooting positions compared to G2.
