Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Leica CL and Leica TL2 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Leica CL has external dimensions of 131 x 78 x 45 mm (5.16 x 3.07 x 1.77″) and weighs 403 g (0.89 lb / 14.22 oz) (including batteries). Leica TL2 has external dimensions of 134 x 69 x 33 mm (5.28 x 2.72 x 1.3″) and weighs 399 g (0.88 lb / 14.07 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Leica CL and the Leica TL2. Leica TL2 is 9mm shorter and 12mm thinner than Leica CL but it is also 3mm wider.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Leica CL and Leica TL2.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Leica CL and Leica TL2.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Leica TL2 is 4g lighter than the Leica CL but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Leica CL and Leica TL2 have the same Leica TL lens mount and APS-C sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Leica CL nor Leica TL2 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. If weather sealing is a must-have feature for you, check these sections: Top Mirrorless Cameras with Weather Sealing
LCD Screen Size and Features
Leica TL2's 3.70" LCD screen is slightly larger than Leica CL's 3 screen.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
