Sigma Quattro H Sensor and Photography Features

Sigma Quattro H has a 45.0MP APS-H (26.6 x 17.9 mm ) sized CMOS (Foveon X3) sensor and features Dual TRUE III processor. You can shoot at maximum resolution of 6200 x 4152 pixels with aspect ratios of 1:1, 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9. Quattro H has a native ISO range of 100 - 6400 and it can save files in RAW format which gives you a wider room for post processing.

Sigma Quattro H is the highest resolution APS-H camera in our database. The closest competitor in this class is Canon 1D MIV with its 16.0MP sensor. Check the comparison of Sigma Quattro H vs Canon 1D MIV or take a look at Highest resolution Mirrorless cameras list.

    Anti-Aliasing Filter

Another important feature about Sigma Quattro H's sensor is the lack of anti-alias (Low-pass) filter. Removing anti-aliasing filter increases the sharpness and level of detail but on the other side it also increases the chance of moiré occurring in certain scenes.

Let's look at how the size of the Sigma Quattro H's APS-H sensor compares with other standard sensor sizes.

Sigma Quattro H Sensor Size Comparison
Comparison image of Sigma Quattro H Sensor Size with other standard sensors

Sigma Quattro H LCD and Viewfinder

Sigma Quattro H has a Fixed Type 3.00-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1,620k dots. Both the screen size and the screen resolution is up to the standards of this class.

Sigma Quattro H back view and LCD

Unfortunately Sigma sd Quattro H doesn't have a Selfie friendly screen. If this feature is important for your shooting style, check here the list of Best Mirrorless Cameras with Selfie Friendly LCD screen.

Quattro H has a built-in Electronic viewfinder, making it easier to shoot in direct sunlight and in other situations where it might be difficult to view the LCD monitor. The viewfinder has a resolution of 2,360kdots and coverage of 100%. 100% coverage ensures that what you see in the viewfinder while shooting matches exactly what you will get later in your image, helping accurate framing your shots and minimizes the need for cropping images later. The magnification ratio of the viewfinder is 0.73x (35mm equivalent).

Sigma Quattro H Connectivity, Storage and Battery

You can connect Quattro H to compatible devices via its HDMI port or USB 3.0 (5 GBit/sec) port.
