Canon SL3 has a Fully Articulated 3" LCD screen with a resolution of 1,040k dots. Both the screen size and the screen resolution is up to the standards of this class.

SL3 has a built-in Optical (pentamirror) viewfinder. The viewfinder has a coverage of 95% and a magnification ratio of 0.54x. 95% coverage means that what you see in your viewfinder while shooting will slightly be different from the actual image.

SL3 has a built-in flash, and it also has a flash shoe to mount your external flashes too.
Canon SL3 features both Contrast Detection and Phase Detection autofocus (AF) systems which ensures speed and accuracy of focusing in most situations. The AF system has 9 focus points and 1 of these sensors are of Cross-type. Cross-type sensors locks focus faster and more accurate compared to single type sensors. Canon SL3 also features Face detection AF
where it intelligently detects the faces in the frame and locks the focus automatically.
With Canon SL3, you can record your videos at a highest resolution of 3840 x 2160 at 25p,24p fps with bit rates up to 120 mbps and save in MPEG-4 and H.264 formats. This means that Canon SL3 provides 4K (Ultra-HD)
video, highest resolution that is available in the market today. When viewed on a 4K screen, you will be amazed by the level of details and the crispness.It is also a big step up from its predecessor SL2
which has a max video resolution of 1920 x 1080 only. If you are thinking of upgrading your SL2 and shoot a lot of video, this is a big factor to consider in favor of SL3.
SL3 has a built-in Yes microphone and a Mono speaker. Canon SL3 also has a port for an external microphone so you can record high quality sound with the help of an external microphone.
Connectivity and Storage

connectivity ( 802.11b/g/n + Bluetooth) which lets you transfer your photos directly to compatible devices without any physical connection.Canon SL3's Bluetooth
connectivity feature comes handy for connecting other devices that supports it. One other feature that we like is the ability to use our smartphone as a remote to control our SL3. You can change camera settings, release shutter, view LCD screen and tranfer files using remote control app.
You can connect SL3 to compatible devices via its HDMI port or USB 2.0 (480 Mbit/sec) port.
Canon SL3 is powered by battery which provides a shooting life of 1070 according to CIPA standards.
Considering that the average battery life of DSLR type cameras is 943 shots, its battery life is about average in its class but it would still be wise to invest in some spare batteries for long photo trips.
