Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Sony H50 and Sony A200 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Sony H50 has external dimensions of 116 x 81 x 86 mm (4.57 x 3.2 x 3.39″) and weighs 547 g (1.21 lb / 19.29 oz) (including batteries). Sony A200 has external dimensions of 131 x 99 x 71 mm (5.16 x 3.9 x 2.8″) and weighs 572 g (1.26 lb / 20.18 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Sony H50 and the Sony A200. Sony H50 is 15mm narrower and 18mm shorter than Sony A200 but it is also 15mm thicker. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Sony H50 has a built-in lens but Sony A200 doesn't. Once you put a lens on A200, its thickness will increase significantly.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Sony H50 is 25g lighter than the Sony A200 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on A200, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50 nor Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Sony H50's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Sony A200's 2.7 screen.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
