Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Samsung TL320 and Sony A37 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Samsung TL320 has external dimensions of 97 x 61 x 21 mm (3.82 x 2.4 x 0.83″) and weighs (including batteries). Sony A37 has external dimensions of 124 x 92 x 85 mm (4.88 x 3.62 x 3.35″) and weighs 506 g (1.12 lb / 17.85 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Samsung TL320 and the Sony A37. Samsung TL320 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 27mm narrower, 31mm shorter and 64mm thinner than Sony A37. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Samsung TL320 has a built-in lens but Sony A37 doesn't. Once you put a lens on A37, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Samsung TL320 and Sony A37.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Samsung TL320 and Sony A37.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Samsung TL320 is 506g lighter than the Sony A37 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on A37, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Samsung TL320 (WB1000) nor Sony SLT-A37 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Samsung TL320's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Sony A37's 2.6" screen.
