Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Samsung NX2000 and Olympus SH-2 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Samsung NX2000 has external dimensions of 119 x 65 x 36 mm (4.69 x 2.56 x 1.42″) and weighs 228 g (0.50 lb / 8.04 oz) (including batteries). Olympus SH-2 has external dimensions of 109 x 63 x 42 mm (4.29 x 2.48 x 1.65″) and weighs 271 g (0.60 lb / 9.56 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Samsung NX2000 and the Olympus SH-2. Olympus SH-2 is 10mm narrower and 2mm shorter than Samsung NX2000 but it is also 6mm thicker. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Olympus SH-2 has a built-in lens but Samsung NX2000 doesn't. Once you put a lens on NX2000, its thickness will increase significantly.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Samsung NX2000 and Olympus SH-2.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Samsung NX2000 is significantly lighter (43g ) than the Olympus SH-2 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on NX2000, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Samsung NX2000 nor Olympus Stylus SH-2 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Samsung NX2000's 3.70" LCD screen is slightly larger than Olympus SH-2's 3 screen.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
