Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Pentax K10D and Fujifilm IS Pro side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Pentax K10D has external dimensions of 142 x 101 x 70 mm (5.59 x 3.98 x 2.76″) and weighs 793 g (1.75 lb / 27.97 oz) (including batteries). Fujifilm IS Pro has external dimensions of 147 x 113 x 74 mm (5.79 x 4.45 x 2.91″) and weighs 920 g (2.03 lb / 32.45 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Pentax K10D and the Fujifilm IS Pro. Pentax K10D is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 5mm narrower, 12mm shorter and 4mm thinner than Fujifilm IS Pro.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Pentax K10D and Fujifilm IS Pro.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Pentax K10D is significantly lighter (127g ) than the Fujifilm IS Pro which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Pentax K10D and Fujifilm IS Pro have the same APS-C sized sensor, their lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will be similar in size and weight.
Weather Sealing
With its weather-sealed body, we believe that the K10D has a big advantage over the IS Pro which doesn't provide any kind of environmental sealing.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Pentax K10D and Fujifilm IS Pro's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 2.50 inches.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
