Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Panasonic TS2 and Samsung WB700 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic TS2 has external dimensions of 99 x 63 x 24 mm (3.9 x 2.48 x 0.94″) and weighs 188 g (0.41 lb / 6.63 oz) (including batteries). Samsung WB700 has external dimensions of 100 x 59 x 22 mm (3.94 x 2.32 x 0.87″) and weighs (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Panasonic TS2 and the Samsung WB700. Samsung WB700 is 4mm shorter and 2mm thinner than Panasonic TS2 but it is also 1mm wider.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Samsung WB700 is 188g lighter than the Panasonic TS2 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Weather Sealing
Thanks to the weather-sealed body of the TS2, you can use this camera with more confidence under conditions where there is risk of exposure to water and dust compared to the WB700.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Samsung WB700's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Panasonic TS2's 2.7" screen.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
