Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Panasonic TS2 and Casio TRYX side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic TS2 has external dimensions of 99 x 63 x 24 mm (3.9 x 2.48 x 0.94″) and weighs 188 g (0.41 lb / 6.63 oz) (including batteries). Casio TRYX has external dimensions of 122 x 58 x 15 mm (4.8 x 2.28 x 0.59″) and weighs (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Panasonic TS2 and the Casio TRYX. Casio TRYX is 5mm shorter and 9mm thinner than Panasonic TS2 but it is also 23mm wider.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Casio TRYX is 188g lighter than the Panasonic TS2 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Weather Sealing
Thanks to the weather-sealed body of the TS2, you can use this camera with more confidence under conditions where there is risk of exposure to water and dust compared to the TRYX.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Casio TRYX's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Panasonic TS2's 2.7" screen.
Moreover, Casio TRYX sports a
Fully Articulated screen which you can change the angle and position of the screen almost freely, making it possible to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels, and especially very useful for shooting selfies and video. On the other hand, Panasonic TS2 has a fixed type screen which provides almost no flexibility in shooting positions compared to TRYX.
