Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Panasonic G7 and Canon SX60 HS side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic G7 has external dimensions of 125 x 86 x 77 mm (4.92 x 3.39 x 3.03″) and weighs 410 g (0.90 lb / 14.46 oz) (including batteries). Canon SX60 HS has external dimensions of 128 x 93 x 114 mm (5.04 x 3.66 x 4.49″) and weighs 650 g (1.43 lb / 22.93 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Panasonic G7 and the Canon SX60 HS. Panasonic G7 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 3mm narrower, 7mm shorter and 37mm thinner than Canon SX60 HS. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Canon SX60 HS has a built-in lens but Panasonic G7 doesn't. Once you put a lens on G7, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Panasonic G7 and Canon SX60 HS.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Panasonic G7 and Canon SX60 HS.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Panasonic G7 is significantly lighter (240g ) than the Canon SX60 HS which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on G7, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 nor Canon PowerShot SX60 HS provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Panasonic G7 and Canon SX60 HS's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
Both cameras feature
Fully Articulating screens where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels. Fully articulating screens are also useful for taking Selfies and video.
