Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Panasonic FZ28 and Casio EX-10 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic FZ28 has external dimensions of 118 x 75 x 89 mm (4.65 x 2.95 x 3.5″) and weighs 417 g (0.92 lb / 14.71 oz) (including batteries). Casio EX-10 has external dimensions of 120 x 68 x 49 mm (4.72 x 2.67 x 1.91″) and weighs 384 g (0.85 lb / 13.55 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Panasonic FZ28 and the Casio EX-10. Casio EX-10 is 7mm shorter and 40mm thinner than Panasonic FZ28 but it is also 2mm wider.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Casio EX-10 is 33g lighter than the Panasonic FZ28 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 nor Casio Exilim EX-10 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Casio EX-10's 3.50" LCD screen is slightly larger than Panasonic FZ28's 2.7 screen.
In addition to the size advantage, Casio EX-10 LCD screen also has a
Tilting feature where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels. On the other hand, Panasonic FZ28 has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to EX-10.
