Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Panasonic FZ1000 and Fujifilm X-T100 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic FZ1000 has external dimensions of 137 x 99 x 131 mm (5.39 x 3.9 x 5.16″) and weighs 831 g (1.83 lb / 29.31 oz) (including batteries). Fujifilm X-T100 has external dimensions of 121 x 83 x 47 mm (4.76 x 3.27 x 1.85″) and weighs 448 g (0.99 lb / 15.80 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Panasonic FZ1000 and the Fujifilm X-T100. Fujifilm X-T100 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 16mm narrower, 16mm shorter and 84mm thinner than Panasonic FZ1000. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Panasonic FZ1000 has a built-in lens but Fujifilm X-T100 doesn't. Once you put a lens on X-T100, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Panasonic FZ1000 and Fujifilm X-T100.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Panasonic FZ1000 and Fujifilm X-T100.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Fujifilm X-T100 is significantly lighter (383g ) than the Panasonic FZ1000 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on X-T100, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 nor Fujifilm X-T100 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Panasonic FZ1000 and Fujifilm X-T100's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
Fujifilm X-T100 features a
Tilting-only screen which is mostly only good for shooting from waist or over-the-head levels. On the other hand, Panasonic FZ1000 sports a
Fully Articulated screen which is more flexible and useful, especially for taking selfies and video.
