Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Panasonic FZ1000 and Canon M50 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic FZ1000 has external dimensions of 137 x 99 x 131 mm (5.39 x 3.9 x 5.16″) and weighs 831 g (1.83 lb / 29.31 oz) (including batteries). Canon M50 has external dimensions of 116 x 88 x 59 mm (4.57 x 3.46 x 2.32″) and weighs 390 g (0.86 lb / 13.76 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Panasonic FZ1000 and the Canon M50. Canon M50 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 21mm narrower, 11mm shorter and 72mm thinner than Panasonic FZ1000. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Panasonic FZ1000 has a built-in lens but Canon M50 doesn't. Once you put a lens on M50, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Panasonic FZ1000 and Canon M50.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Panasonic FZ1000 and Canon M50.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Canon M50 is significantly lighter (441g ) than the Panasonic FZ1000 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on M50, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 nor Canon EOS M50 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Panasonic FZ1000 and Canon M50's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.

Fully Articulating screens where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels. Fully articulating screens are also useful for taking Selfies and video.
