Size and weight is a big decision factor when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, We are going to illustrate Panasonic S5 and Leica M10 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic S5 has external dimensions of 133 x 97 x 82 mm (5.24 x 3.82 x 3.23″) and weighs 714 g (1.57 lb) (including batteries). Leica M10 has external dimensions of 139 x 39 x 80 mm (5.47 x 1.54 x 3.15″) and weighs 660 g (1.46 lb / 23.28 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front view size comparison of Panasonic S5 and Leica M10. Leica M10 is 17mm shorter and 43mm thinner than Panasonic S5 but it is also 6mm wider.
Here is the back view size comparison of Panasonic S5 and Leica M10.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Panasonic S5 and Leica M10.
Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Leica M10 is 54g lighter than the Panasonic S5 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you have to also take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Panasonic S5 and Leica M10 have the same Full frame sized sensor, their lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will be similar in size and weight.
With its weather sealed body, we believe that S5 has a big advantage over M10 which doesn't provide any kind of environmental sealing.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Panasonic S5 and Leica M10's LCD screens has the same diagonal size of 3".
On the other hand, Panasonic S5 sports a Fully Articulated screen
which you can change the angle and position of the screen almost freely, making it possible to shoot from waist or over the head levels, and especially very useful for shooting selfies and video. Leica M10's LCD screen is a fixed type which provides almost no flexibility in shooting positions compared to S5.
