Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Olympus PEN-F and Sigma DP2 Quattro side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Olympus PEN-F has external dimensions of 125 x 72 x 37 mm (4.92 x 2.83 x 1.46″) and weighs 427 g (0.94 lb / 15.06 oz) (including batteries). Sigma DP2 Quattro has external dimensions of 161 x 67 x 82 mm (6.34 x 2.64 x 3.23″) and weighs 395 g (0.87 lb / 13.93 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Olympus PEN-F and the Sigma DP2 Quattro. Olympus PEN-F is 36mm narrower and 45mm thinner than Sigma DP2 Quattro but it is also 5mm taller. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Sigma DP2 Quattro has a built-in lens but Olympus PEN-F doesn't. Once you put a lens on PEN-F, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Olympus PEN-F and Sigma DP2 Quattro.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Olympus PEN-F and Sigma DP2 Quattro.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Sigma DP2 Quattro is 32g lighter than the Olympus PEN-F but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on PEN-F, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Olympus PEN-F nor Sigma DP2 Quattro provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Olympus PEN-F and Sigma DP2 Quattro's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
On the other hand, Olympus PEN-F sports a
Fully Articulated screen which you can change the angle and position of the screen almost freely, making it possible to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels, and especially very useful for shooting selfies and video. Sigma DP2 Quattro's LCD screen is a fixed type which provides almost no flexibility in shooting positions compared to PEN-F.
