Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Nikon D4s and Nikon Df side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Nikon D4s has external dimensions of 160 x 157 x 91 mm (6.3 x 6.18 x 3.58″) and weighs 1350 g (2.98 lb / 47.62 oz) (including batteries). Nikon Df has external dimensions of 144 x 110 x 67 mm (5.67 x 4.33 x 2.64″) and weighs 760 g (1.68 lb / 26.81 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Nikon D4s and the Nikon Df. Nikon Df is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 16mm narrower, 47mm shorter and 24mm thinner than Nikon D4s.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Nikon D4s and Nikon Df.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Nikon D4s and Nikon Df.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Nikon Df is significantly lighter (590g ) than the Nikon D4s which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Nikon D4s and Nikon Df have the same Nikon F lens mount and Full frame sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.
Weather Sealing
Both the D4s and the Df have weather sealings in their bodies, making them resistant to water and dust.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Nikon D4s and Nikon Df's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.20 inches.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
