Size and weight is a big decision factor when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, We are going to illustrate Nikon S5200 and Samsung NX200 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Nikon S5200 has external dimensions of 98 x 58 x 22 mm (3.86 x 2.28 x 0.87″) and weighs 146 g (0.32 lb / 5.15 oz) (including batteries). Samsung NX200 has external dimensions of 117 x 63 x 36 mm (4.61 x 2.48 x 1.42″) and weighs 223 g (0.49 lb / 7.87 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front view size comparison of Nikon S5200 and Samsung NX200. Nikon S5200 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 19mm narrower, 5mm shorter and 14mm thinner than Samsung NX200. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Nikon S5200 has a built-in lens but Samsung NX200 doesn't. Once you put a lens on NX200, its thickness will increase significantly.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Nikon S5200 and Samsung NX200.
Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Nikon S5200 is significantly lighter (77g ) than the Samsung NX200 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on NX200, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Unfortunately neither Nikon Coolpix S5200 nor Samsung NX200 provides any type of weather sealing in their body, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors.
