Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Leica M-E Typ 220 and Samsung NX mini side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Samsung NX mini has external dimensions of 110 x 62 x 23 mm (4.33 x 2.44 x 0.91″) and weighs 196 g (0.43 lb / 6.91 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Leica M-E Typ 220 and the Samsung NX mini. Samsung NX mini is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 29mm narrower, 18mm shorter and 14mm thinner than Leica M-E Typ 220.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Leica M-E Typ 220 and Samsung NX mini.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Leica M-E Typ 220 and Samsung NX mini.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Samsung NX mini is significantly lighter (389g ) than the Leica M-E Typ 220 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since Leica M-E Typ 220 has a Full frame sensor and Samsung NX mini has a smaller 1' sensor, Samsung NX mini's lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will generally be lighter and smaller than the Leica M-E Typ 220 lenses.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Leica M-E Typ 220 nor Samsung NX mini provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Samsung NX mini's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Leica M-E Typ 220's 2.5 screen.
In addition to the size advantage, Samsung NX mini LCD screen also has a
Tilting feature where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels. On the other hand, Leica M-E Typ 220 has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to NX mini.
