Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Kodak Astro AZ651 and Canon M5 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Kodak Astro AZ651 has external dimensions of 125 x 114 x 89 mm and weighs 567 g (including batteries). Canon M5 has external dimensions of 116 x 89 x 61 mm (4.57 x 3.5 x 2.4″) and weighs 427 g (0.94 lb / 15.06 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Kodak Astro AZ651 and the Canon M5. Kodak Astro AZ651 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 116mm narrower, 89mm shorter and 61mm thinner than Canon M5. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Kodak Astro AZ651 has a built-in lens but Canon M5 doesn't. Once you put a lens on M5, its thickness will increase significantly.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Kodak Astro AZ651 and Canon M5.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Canon M5 is significantly lighter (140g ) than the Kodak Astro AZ651 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on M5, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Kodak Pixpro Astro Zoom AZ651 nor Canon EOS M5 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Canon M5's 3.20" LCD screen is slightly larger than Kodak Astro AZ651's 3 screen.
