Size and weight is a big decision factor when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, We are going to illustrate Fujifilm X-T2 and Sony RX100 IV side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Fujifilm X-T2 has external dimensions of 133 x 92 x 49 mm (5.24 x 3.62 x 1.9″) and weighs 507 g (including batteries). Sony RX100 IV has external dimensions of 102 x 58 x 41 mm (4.02 x 2.28 x 1.61″) and weighs 298 g (0.66 lb / 10.51 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front view size comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Sony RX100 IV. Sony RX100 IV is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 31mm narrower, 34mm shorter and 8mm thinner than Fujifilm X-T2. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Sony RX100 IV has a built-in lens but Fujifilm X-T2 doesn't. Once you put a lens on X-T2, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Sony RX100 IV.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Sony RX100 IV.
Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Sony RX100 IV is significantly lighter (209g ) than the Fujifilm X-T2 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on X-T2, the total kit will weigh much higher.
With its weather sealed body, we believe that X-T2 has a big advantage over RX100 IV which doesn't provide any kind of environmental sealing.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Fujifilm X-T2's 3.20" LCD screen is slightly larger than Sony RX100 IV's 3 screen.
Both cameras feature Tilting screens
where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over the head levels.
