Size and weight is a big decision factor when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, We are going to illustrate Fujifilm X-T2 and Sony RX10 II side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Fujifilm X-T2 has external dimensions of 133 x 92 x 49 mm (5.24 x 3.62 x 1.9″) and weighs 507 g (including batteries). Sony RX10 II has external dimensions of 129 x 88 x 102 mm (5.08 x 3.46 x 4.02″) and weighs 813 g (1.79 lb / 28.68 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front view size comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Sony RX10 II. Sony RX10 II is 4mm narrower and 4mm shorter than Fujifilm X-T2 but it is also 53mm thicker. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Sony RX10 II has a built-in lens but Fujifilm X-T2 doesn't. Once you put a lens on X-T2, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Sony RX10 II.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Sony RX10 II.
Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Fujifilm X-T2 is significantly lighter (306g ) than the Sony RX10 II which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on X-T2, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Both X-T2 and RX10 II have weather sealings in their body, making them resistant to water and dust.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Fujifilm X-T2's 3.2" LCD screen is slightly larger than Sony RX10 II's 3 screen.
Both cameras feature Tilting screens
where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over the head levels.
