Size and weight is a big decision factor when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, We are going to illustrate Fujifilm X-T2 and Canon G3 X side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Fujifilm X-T2 has external dimensions of 133 x 92 x 49 mm (5.24 x 3.62 x 1.9″) and weighs 507 g (including batteries). Canon G3 X has external dimensions of 123 x 77 x 105 mm (4.84 x 3.03 x 4.13″) and weighs 733 g (1.62 lb / 25.86 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front view size comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Canon G3 X. Canon G3 X is 10mm narrower and 15mm shorter than Fujifilm X-T2 but it is also 56mm thicker. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Canon G3 X has a built-in lens but Fujifilm X-T2 doesn't. Once you put a lens on X-T2, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Canon G3 X.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Fujifilm X-T2 and Canon G3 X.
Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Fujifilm X-T2 is significantly lighter (226g ) than the Canon G3 X which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on X-T2, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Both X-T2 and G3 X have weather sealings in their body, making them resistant to water and dust.
