Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the FujiFilm S2500HD and Panasonic GF6 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. FujiFilm S2500HD has external dimensions of 110 x 73 x 81 mm (4.33 x 2.89 x 3.19″) and weighs 337 g (0.74 lb / 11.89 oz) (including batteries). Panasonic GF6 has external dimensions of 111 x 65 x 38 mm (4.37 x 2.56 x 1.5″) and weighs 323 g (0.71 lb / 11.39 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the FujiFilm S2500HD and the Panasonic GF6. Panasonic GF6 is 8mm shorter and 43mm thinner than FujiFilm S2500HD but it is also 1mm wider. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since FujiFilm S2500HD has a built-in lens but Panasonic GF6 doesn't. Once you put a lens on GF6, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the FujiFilm S2500HD and Panasonic GF6.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of FujiFilm S2500HD and Panasonic GF6.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Panasonic GF6 is 14g lighter than the FujiFilm S2500HD but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on GF6, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the FujiFilm FinePix S2500HD (FinePix S2600HD) nor Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
FujiFilm S2500HD and Panasonic GF6's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
On the other hand, Panasonic GF6 features a
Tilting screen where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels whereas the FujiFilm S2500HD has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to GF6.
