Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Casio TRYX and Casio EX-Z550 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Casio TRYX has external dimensions of 122 x 58 x 15 mm (4.8 x 2.28 x 0.59″) and weighs (including batteries). Casio EX-Z550 has external dimensions of 99 x 53 x 20 mm (3.9 x 2.09 x 0.79″) and weighs 143 g (0.32 lb / 5.04 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Casio TRYX and the Casio EX-Z550. Casio EX-Z550 is 23mm narrower and 5mm shorter than Casio TRYX but it is also 5mm thicker.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Casio TRYX is 143g lighter than the Casio EX-Z550 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Casio Exilim TRYX nor Casio Exilim EX-Z550 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Casio TRYX's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Casio EX-Z550's 2.7 screen.
Moreover, Casio TRYX sports a
Fully Articulated screen which you can change the angle and position of the screen almost freely, making it possible to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels, and especially very useful for shooting selfies and video. On the other hand, Casio EX-Z550 has a fixed type screen which provides almost no flexibility in shooting positions compared to TRYX.
