Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Canon R100 and Canon R10 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Canon R100 has external dimensions of 116 x 86 x 69 mm (4.57 x 3.39 x 2.72″) and weighs 356 g (0.78 lb / 12.56 oz) (including batteries). Canon R10 has external dimensions of 122.5 x 87.8 x 83.4mm (4.82 x 3.46 x 3.28 and weighs 426 g (0.94 lb / 15.14 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Canon R100 and the Canon R10. Canon R100 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 7mm narrower, 2mm shorter and 14mm thinner than Canon R10.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Canon R100 and Canon R10.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Canon R100 and Canon R10.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Canon R100 is significantly lighter (70g ) than the Canon R10 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Canon R100 and Canon R10 have the same Canon RF lens mount and APS-C sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Canon EOS R100 nor Canon EOS R10 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. If weather sealing is a must-have feature for you, check these sections: Top Mirrorless Cameras with Weather Sealing
LCD Screen Size and Features
Canon R100 and Canon R10's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
On the other hand, Canon R10 sports a
Fully Articulated screen which you can change the angle and position of the screen almost freely, making it possible to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels, and especially very useful for shooting selfies and video. Canon R100's LCD screen is a fixed type which provides almost no flexibility in shooting positions compared to R10.
