Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Canon 60Da and FujiFilm AV250 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Canon 60Da has external dimensions of 145 x 106 x 79 mm (5.71 x 4.17 x 3.11″) and weighs 755 g (1.66 lb / 26.63 oz) (including batteries). FujiFilm AV250 has external dimensions of 93 x 60 x 28 mm (3.66 x 2.36 x 1.1″) and weighs 168 g (0.37 lb / 5.93 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Canon 60Da and the FujiFilm AV250. FujiFilm AV250 is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 52mm narrower, 46mm shorter and 51mm thinner than Canon 60Da. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since FujiFilm AV250 has a built-in lens but Canon 60Da doesn't. Once you put a lens on 60Da, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Canon 60Da and FujiFilm AV250.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Canon 60Da and FujiFilm AV250.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
FujiFilm AV250 is significantly lighter (587g ) than the Canon 60Da which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on 60Da, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
With its weather-sealed body, we believe that the 60Da has a big advantage over the AV250 which doesn't provide any kind of environmental sealing.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Canon 60Da's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than FujiFilm AV250's 2.7" screen.
Moreover, Canon 60Da sports a
Fully Articulated screen which you can change the angle and position of the screen almost freely, making it possible to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels, and especially very useful for shooting selfies and video. On the other hand, FujiFilm AV250 has a fixed type screen which provides almost no flexibility in shooting positions compared to 60Da.
