Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Sony W830 and Leica M10 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Sony W830 has external dimensions of 93 x 52 x 23 mm (3.66 x 2.05 x 0.91″) and weighs 122 g (0.27 lb / 4.30 oz) (including batteries). Leica M10 has external dimensions of 139 x 39 x 80 mm (5.47 x 1.54 x 3.15″) and weighs 660 g (1.46 lb / 23.28 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Sony W830 and the Leica M10. Sony W830 is 46mm narrower and 57mm thinner than Leica M10 but it is also 13mm taller. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Sony W830 has a built-in lens but Leica M10 doesn't. Once you put a lens on M10, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Sony W830 and Leica M10.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Sony W830 and Leica M10.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Sony W830 is significantly lighter (538g ) than the Leica M10 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on M10, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 nor Leica M10 provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Leica M10's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Sony W830's 2.7" screen.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
