Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Ricoh WG-30W and Samsung NX2000 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Ricoh WG-30W has external dimensions of 123 x 62 x 30 mm (4.84 x 2.44 x 1.18″) and weighs 194 g (0.43 lb / 6.84 oz) (including batteries). Samsung NX2000 has external dimensions of 119 x 65 x 36 mm (4.69 x 2.56 x 1.42″) and weighs 228 g (0.50 lb / 8.04 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Ricoh WG-30W and the Samsung NX2000. Ricoh WG-30W is 3mm shorter and 6mm thinner than Samsung NX2000 but it is also 4mm wider. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Ricoh WG-30W has a built-in lens but Samsung NX2000 doesn't. Once you put a lens on NX2000, its thickness will increase significantly.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Ricoh WG-30W and Samsung NX2000.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Ricoh WG-30W is significantly lighter (34g ) than the Samsung NX2000 which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on NX2000, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Thanks to the weather-sealed body of the WG-30W, you can use this camera with more confidence under conditions where there is risk of exposure to water and dust compared to the NX2000.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Samsung NX2000's 3.70" LCD screen is slightly larger than Ricoh WG-30W's 2.7 screen.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
