Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Panasonic TS6 and Canon M side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Panasonic TS6 has external dimensions of 110 x 67 x 29 mm (4.33 x 2.64 x 1.14″) and weighs 214 g (0.47 lb / 7.55 oz) (including batteries). Canon M has external dimensions of 109 x 66 x 32 mm (4.29 x 2.6 x 1.26″) and weighs 298 g (0.66 lb / 10.51 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Panasonic TS6 and the Canon M. Canon M is 1mm narrower and 1mm shorter than Panasonic TS6 but it is also 3mm thicker. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Panasonic TS6 has a built-in lens but Canon M doesn't. Once you put a lens on M, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Panasonic TS6 and Canon M.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Panasonic TS6 and Canon M.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Panasonic TS6 is significantly lighter (84g ) than the Canon M which may become a big advantage especially on long walking trips.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on M, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Thanks to the weather-sealed body of the TS6, you can use this camera with more confidence under conditions where there is risk of exposure to water and dust compared to the M.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Panasonic TS6 and Canon M's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
Unfortunately, both cameras has fixed screens so they don't tilt or flip in directions.
