Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Olympus E-M10 II and Olympus 1s side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Olympus E-M10 II has external dimensions of 120 x 83 x 47 mm (4.72 x 3.27 x 1.85″) and weighs 390 g (0.86 lb / 13.76 oz) (including batteries). Olympus 1s has external dimensions of 116 x 87 x 57 mm (4.57 x 3.43 x 2.24″) and weighs 402 g (0.89 lb / 14.18 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Olympus E-M10 II and the Olympus 1s. Olympus E-M10 II is 4mm shorter and 10mm thinner than Olympus 1s but it is also 4mm wider. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Olympus 1s has a built-in lens but Olympus E-M10 II doesn't. Once you put a lens on E-M10 II, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Olympus E-M10 II and Olympus 1s.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Olympus E-M10 II and Olympus 1s.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Olympus E-M10 II is 12g lighter than the Olympus 1s but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on E-M10 II, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Olympus OM-D E-M10 II nor Olympus Stylus 1s provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors.
