Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Fujifilm X70 and Fujifilm X-E2S side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Fujifilm X70 has external dimensions of 113 x 64 x 44 mm (4.45 x 2.52 x 1.73″) and weighs 340 g (0.75 lb / 11.99 oz) (including batteries). Fujifilm X-E2S has external dimensions of 129 x 75 x 37 mm (5.08 x 2.95 x 1.46″) and weighs 350 g (0.77 lb / 12.35 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Fujifilm X70 and the Fujifilm X-E2S. Fujifilm X70 is 16mm narrower and 11mm shorter than Fujifilm X-E2S but it is also 7mm thicker. As you can tell, actually this is not a fair size comparison since Fujifilm X70 has a built-in lens but Fujifilm X-E2S doesn't. Once you put a lens on X-E2S, its thickness will increase significantly.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Fujifilm X70 and Fujifilm X-E2S.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Fujifilm X70 and Fujifilm X-E2S.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Fujifilm X70 is 10g lighter than the Fujifilm X-E2S but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Again, this comparison may not be very useful in real life as we are comparing the weight of a camera with a built-in lens to the body-only weight of an interchangeable lens camera. Once you put a lens on X-E2S, the total kit will weigh much higher.
Weather Sealing
Unfortunately neither the Fujifilm X70 nor Fujifilm X-E2S provides any type of weather sealing in their bodies, so you have to give extra care especially when you are shooting outdoors. LCD Screen Size and Features
Fujifilm X70 and Fujifilm X-E2S's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
On the other hand, Fujifilm X70 features a
Tilting screen where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels whereas the Fujifilm X-E2S has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to X70.
